Bradshaw Family / 2nd Time Around
I don’t know what offers more joy than a family, and this particular family exudes fun. They are all firecrackers & it was pleasure capturing their smiles.
And a down right serious gaze.
We did a shoot last year with this family that you can see here. It’s fun seeing how much the children have changed,
And how the parents look the same.

Another wonderful experience doing what I love. Thank you Bradshaws for this opportunity.
The Finer Things In Life
There’s been many times in the past when I have kicked myself for not bringing my camera. This particular day I patted my back for bringing it. The weather was beautiful & the park was filled with autumn’s colors, welcoming in winter’s entrance. It was a picture perfect day! All the different birds happily gathered around, singing their songs and fluttered around like children at play.
While we soaked up the warmth of the sun…
We enjoyed the finer things in life, a gorgeous, pleasant day. It’s moments like this that give you glimpses of what heaven must be like. Filled with love, warmth & beauty. Happy Holidays Everybody!
Denise/Lake Bed Shoot
Wrapping up the images I shot several months ago, I couldn’t wait to show these off. This shoot was a great opportunity to get creative since all pressure was off. The whole idea of this was purely for the photographers enjoyment, organized by the talented Erin Hatch, see her blog here. 3 Ladies volunteered their time to be our models & Denise was one of them.
I noticed with her, it was the in-between poses that I gravitated towards when picking ones to edit…perhaps because she was more relaxed & more herself. At any case, she was a delight to photograph.
This has been a fantastic way for me to practice both shooting & processing, especially at a location that I might not have otherwise ever tried out. Who knew a dried lake bed could look this amazing.
{Work it girl}
We arrived about an hour before the sun snuck behind the mountains so we got some variety of beautiful light.
I’m so looking forward to another one of these. In fact, I’m hoping to throw together one soon in the snow! Stay tuned
. Till next time, take care my friends!
Desert Jewels
Often times I take the desert for granted. It can seem so boring & drab to the uninspired eye. However, it really does possess its own beauty, especially at dawn & dusk..these 2 few moments offer a peak of its true potential. The light is stunning as it highlights the blooming tips of the wild vegetation & brings out the most remarkeable earthy, warm hues. Paired w/a really fun & lovely family ~ I think we captured a jewel!
This was truly a mini-session. A quick hop & a jump from their doorstep we were in the desert facing the cold, brutal winds. Our goal was to get 1 shot they could use for a Christmas card. Kinda funny to say Christmas card & not see anything relating to winter, BUT we do live in the desert afterall…we just have to use our imagination {wink
}.
In all reality, Christmas isn’t necessarily about winter anyways right? It’s more of a time of celebration, whether your religious or not, about giving, & even being thankful for all that you have.
With the coming hussle & bussle that the holidays seem to bring forth for many. I wish you all an enjoyable month, full of fun, great company, lots of yummy food, the spirit of giving & a gentle reminder to reflect on all your blessings and/or all that you have surrounding you.
IHeartFaces Photo Challenge l Black
Ok Ok, so maybe I have my mommy goggles on but I just think he’s adorable. It was a bitterly cold day w/the wind to remind us. However, you think he cared? NOPE, we were standing right by choo choo trains & thats all he had on the brain. Here on these steps is the entrance to a neat 3 storied antique shop…oh so many things in there I just adored ~ oh sorry, totally getting of the subject ~ So yes, my entry for this weeks challenge, Black! Head on over to IHeartFaces to see more entries for this weeks challenge. Good luck to all!

Granted a Girl
It’s a girl, how fun! When I found out my 2nd was another boy I was torn. I thought it would be neat to have one of each but then I also thought of the costs involved. I know if I were to have a girl, I would want to buy her every cute thing I seen. So for me, it was best to have another boy. I am just thankful he’s a happy & healthy lil guy. For this lady though, I know they are just ecstatic about this precious girl to come. They will now have one of each, awesome!
With only a handful of weeks to go, this lil mama is looking absolutely gorgeous & sportin a beautiful belly!
I think I’m really enjoying shooting maternity. It’s such a special time for a woman. There’s so much you go through, physically, emotionally, mentally & for some spiritually. Being able to capture a woman during this time & show her how beautiful she is is such a pleasure.
As a mother of 2, I know how important it is have this moment recorded, to look back & smile & realize how worth it really all is.
Well Mrs. Jackie, your soon to cross the finish line & will experience life a whole new way with 2 lil ones. I’m looking forward to meeting your lil girl.
A Life in the Making
This photo shoot was pretty exciting for me. First of all, she’s a dear friend & secondly, my 1st maternity shoot. I had a challenge ahead of me!
However, Red Rock is by far a photographers friend. It offers something different outside the “Vegas” scene. Without a doubt it’s gorgeous up there with it’s colorful mountains & natural surroundings. A nice getaway from the concrete jungle. With so much to offer it makes it a bit easier to get creative & with such a beautiful background, it really adds to the image.
Gorgeous right?! Now on to this beautiful momma, we really wanted to showcase the life inside of her {literally}. In so doing it’s a must we keep her comfortable & make sure the angle is flattering! I know exactly how it feels to be this pregnant…beautiful is typically the last thing you feel…but truth is, she looks stunning!
When we discussed what she should wear, we decided on something light {since it’s hitting 100′s} & most certainly belly forming =). She had the idea of wearing the long skirt which I think was a great idea since it allowed more focus on what we wanted it on. I also recommended accessories to add some flare & fill in the blamks. Overall I’m really pleased with the outcome & look forward to doing more of these.
I have a some more I would love to share with you so please head over to my facebook here! Till next time.
xoxo ~ Tirzah
